hi guys just looking as this thread
Windows 8 Consumer Preview Thread
and thinking of trying it out but cant remember how to make a dual boot system some one help please :D

Whenever you are setting up a dual boot make sure you install the operating systems in age order.

For example if you want XP, 7 & 8 to use then install them in that order. That way the boot files for each OS will recognise that an older OS is there and configure it as needed.

As for having the OS on the 2nd drive it should not be too much of an issue. Just as case of punting the dvd in and booting from it, selecting your 2nd drive as the install drive windows 8 will sort out the boot section on drive 0 to allow you to choose whihc OS you want at boot.

im using windows 7 but i wanna install windows 8 as a duel boot what is easiest way to do this?

easiest way is to pick up a second hdd pull out your old one install new one and install os,once done plug in your old hdd so that both drives are now installed into your pc

then in bios set the boot order to whichever hdd you want to use or press f8 or f12(depends on mb make) to bring up boot menu at start up splash screen and choose which hdd/os to boot up into

ive got an asus p5b deluxe wi fi ap ( mb ) ive got a 500gb hdd and a 160gb hdd the 160 GB is a slave with just music on so want to install windows 8 on that ?
