Dual boot os removal

ok got xp as my main partition and main os. But I have vista on another partition. Because vista hasnt fixed the stupid problems yet I want to regain the space its using up how do I go about removing it without skrewing up the boot, cause vistas boot selector is different from the boot.ini of xp

Someone will confirm (I'm at work at the mo) but I think you boot from the XP disc and use the repair console... use 'FixBoot' and 'FixMBR'... this should fix your boot.ini for you!... (granted this is what I did when removing Linux from my machine... not sure about Vista!)
