Dual Boot PROBLEM - XP 64 Vista 64 - Help

Look, this is not rocket science.

Boot from EITHER of the install media.

Format 2 partitions, preferably, though not essentially the first two on a drive.

Install XP on the first of them
Once finished, and XP is happy, reboot.
Boot from Vista DVD, use custom install option, select the 2nd partition you made.

End of problems.

Done this a dozen times mate.

What Vista calls your XP's "C:" drive is utterly irrelevant, as Vista always changes the name of it's own root partition to C: once booted anyway. So both my XP and Vista see themselves as being on C: and also see one another as being on D:

(doesn't work the same with 2 XP's BTW)

If you need to change drive letters, partition magic is good, but you cannot change letters for bootable drives.
