Hi all,

I have Vista Ultimate and am going to dual boot with XP for when XP is needed for compatability.

Vista is on C: and XP will be on D:

Programs will be installed on a seperate drive E:

Question however:

As Vista and XP use different paths for things like Documents And Settings, will I have to install the programs twice? Once under XP and once under Vista? How is it best to have dual boot? Should all the programs for Vista be installed on C: and all the programs for XP be installed on D: basically getting rid of E:

I always have me programs on a seperate disk but cant think how it will work under dual boot :( If only Vista would work for everything!!

Hey Totality, you will have to install programs on xp and then vista separately even if they are the same program.

When you say on a separate drive do you mean a separate partion or an actual serperate hard drive? (Im guessing partion)

Just a quick question , How many hard drives have you got all together and how big are they? :)
