Hi there! I am considering turning my XP PC to a dual boot XP/7 (64bit) machine. I prefer this to having a format and clean install of Win 7 because of all the fuss. I really hate to have to reinstall everything i currently have....

Question is: Do i partition my C Drive (where xp is ) and install 7 there, or do i install 7 at a tottaly different Hard Disc (i have one named K , mainly for games)???
Same or different Disc guys? Does it even making a difference?

it shouldn't really make any difference because once you've installed Win7 it will most likely see 'its drive' (that is the one where it is installed) as drive C: anyhow.

But is your 2nd drive just a partition on the same drive, or do you have two different drives? If you have two drives, you really should install the OS you're going to use the most on the fastest drive. Which might mean having to re-partition your drives first.
