Dual Boot Win 7 and Win 10

If I install win 10 on a partioned drive that already has windows 7 and dual boot, will each install show as operating system treat the install as a c drive ?

I'd rather it was on seperate drives.... but all info I have seen advises against it. I am still using 7.... I have software for work that needs it, but really need to get on 10 and avoid 11 for as long as possible.

I'll take plain numpty but I am in Cumbria so must be pretty close to a mcnumpty (Am from London originally so I still fail the mcnumpty test)
