Hello,
I have successfully configured a dual boot Windows XP system. One boot is called Green and the secondary boot is called Blue. When I boot into the Blue partition the Green partition shows up in 'My Computer' as an additional hard drive. As I did not want this to appear I entered 'Disk Management' and removed the drive letter associated. Having completed this I have done the same when booting into Green.
To round up;
I log into Blue and go to 'My Computer' and the Green drive is hidden (no drive letter assigned).
I log into Green and go to 'My Computer' and the Blue drive is hidden (no drive letter assigned)
The problem comes when I use Ghost to image this system. The image is blasted out succesfully yet as soon as I boot into one of the partitions the other drive shows up (which I don't want!) this in turn conflicts with software which is pre-installed and causes the system to crash!
Is there anyway I can image so that it remembers my exact partition configuration? any help is much appreciated!
Thanks - A
