Dual boot XP/Vista for DX10 gaming!?

probably not that much point now as there's hardly any performance drop running Vista these days. Some things even run better.

but complicated and unnecessary. Only problem you might get is with games using Starforce as it tends to screw up Vista 64 quite well.

I'm using Vista64, and haven't noticed any problems with Starforce.

In fact, everything is just dandy, fewer crashes than I had with XP :)

Maybe it was the version. I installed and old version of Trackmania the other day and it installed Starforce. After rebooting, Vista refused to boot up saying that an unauthorised driver (or similar) had been detected. Wouldn't even let me boot up in safe mode. Ended up using system restore (never thought I'd use that!) to put it back to pre-installation.
I believe that Vista 64 is more picky after SP1 as I can no longer get the XBCD drivers to work either even after attempting to disable driver signing.

i dual boot xp and vista, and although i get hardly anything from vista that i dont get from xp, i need to have it installed for tech reasons, as a lot of customers now have it installed with thier new machines.
