Not the standard one this...maybe....

Am having some big issues with my FSX on W8 at present and as it resides on its own 120 Gb SSD was contemplating installing W7 onto this and using that as a pure stand alone build for running FSX.

My questions are which is the best way to go about my dual boot sceanrio?

Can I just reformat the SSd, throw in my W7 install disc, install to that SSD and robert is your fathers brother I am dual boot - or - is it unplug all other drives leaving only blank, install W7, re-connect everything and then muck around with bootloaders to get it working as I want?

I would disconnect all drives, install Windows 7 on the SSD, reconnect all drives and either change the Windows 8 boot loader to give the option of Windows 7 or use the BIOS change boot option when you want to load Windows 7 (often F8, F11 or F12, depending on the BIOS/UEFI).
