dual channel 4gb

Hi all, just a quick question, as im not too clued up on ram...

got 2 x 1gig 667 ram, can i whack 2 more 1gb sticks in (a matched pair) but not the same brand as my other 2 sticks? or would i be better getting rid of my cheapo ram and buying 4gig of 800 speeed ram?

Possible compatibility issues there, you might get lucky and the other two will run fine against the original pair. The current prices of the Geil 800Mhz id probably go for a whole new set to be safe and ensure stability. Just make sure your board hasn't any compatibility issues with your choice of sticks as im currently battling with a few sticks of corsair dominator that don't want to play fair @ 4gb

Just found out one of my new dominators is no good and has been causing my problems all along RMA in process
