Noob Ram Question:

Dual Channel DDR2 - does the mobo specifically need to support dual channel, or will it work anyway?

So even thought the gigabyte site makes no mention of dual channel support a 2x2gb DC kit would work.

Its an old board in my htpc. This is why I asked - 775 boards aren't as simple as the new ddr3 ones. All the 2x2gb kits ocuk sell are dual channel.

Thanks Ripshod, that answered my question.

Even if my board doesnt support dual channel, a DC kit will still work as single channel ram.
