hey guys, i bought a 2Gb stick of DDR3 1066 ram when building my current computer and i've just snapped up two 1Gb sticks of the same ram on that auction site thing.
my motherboard supports dual channel memory but i'm wondering if the 2Gb stick and the two 1Gb sticks will actually work in dual channel when i plug them in, i dont think i'll be too bothered if they dont but it'd be nice to know what kind of performance increases dual channel might bring over single
mobo is GA-EG41MFT-us2h
ram is kingston aka elpida PC1066 DDR3 240 pin non ECC
ok edit
might have found something about it, is dual channel where 1066 runs at 1333? or higher, or am i as lost as i feel lol
