Dual Channel Question

Hi all,

I currently have 2x OCZ 2GB PC2 6400 Gold Series RAM, this is dual channel.

Is it wise adding one more stick to make 6GB or had I might as well not bother?

If you can get two more for 8GB, I would do it. If not probably not worth it. 4GB should be enough for most uses anyway. I believe with 3 sticks it won't run in dual channel mode so you will lose some speed?

8gb is becoming more the standard these days, especially for games such as BF3 and NFS: The Run running the Frostbite 2 engine.

But I run 4GB and my system is smooth in games.
