Dual Channel RAM-Powermac G5

Hello there have had my hands on my powermac G5 for a couple weeks now and do like it, its not as fast as my pc but its fast. The specs are:

Dual G5 2.0Ghz
2gb RAM
9600pro

My question, do i need to have the same size sticks in the ram slots as i do with my PC to achieve dual channel ram speed, there is currently 4x256mb, 2x512mb sticks in there atm. I was going to sell these and get 2x1gb sticks so i could achieve dual channel if my PC theory is correct.

Should be running Dual channel anyway.

Matched pairs, 256 - 256 - 512 in each channel (There are 2 groups of 4 slots - clearly visible gap between them)
