dual channel ram upgrade problem

Hi,

I now use 2x512MB DDR2 PC5300

my mobo have 4 solts, can I add another one 1G ram or andother 2x512 ??

Would it affect performance?

I dont realy see any difference when i run 1gb of ram or 2gb to be honest..

I needed the extra ram for battlefield game.

I have no problem with 1G so far even for video editing and 3d randering.

I want to maps to load quicker.....

Because you've got an Intel board, you may see a slight increase in performance with 4 sticks using 4 bank interleave. Since BF2 needs 2GB at highish setting then I don't see any issues but try and get similar or the same memory as you've currently got to minimise any potential problems
