I play a lot of rts games, and i find it helps more in rts than it does in fps games...
Windows balances threads between all available cores and it does so in a dynamic fashion that surpasses what any human or user mode application can do. Other than for convenience in setting an old game to be compatible, these types of utilities serve no purpose what so ever. They do not help performance in the slightest but in fact degrade it.mr optimistic said:http://forums.amd.com/lofiversion/index.php/t65211.html
this utility works and by putting the virus scanner and various other background programs/services on to core 2 it has made the machine feel more responsive. Can't comment on game performance though as the system is fast enough anyhow.
