It properly detects the cpu, but only 1 graph shows in taskman:

Any idea's how to fix it?
Don't say new install that isnt an option.
Previous cpu on this windows was a p3 800mhz.
Got newest bios, amd drivers&optimizer, etc...

It a reformat of windows i think, and press F5 when the windows cd is loading (same screen you press f6 to load sata drivers) and choosing the driver yourself.

Thats what i had to do, anyone else know a better way ?

Is there a way to force to load a new HAL without a new windows?
As it's the hal loading the acpi drivers, i mean is it possible to force the hal to detect a new acpi driver?
My dad will kill me if I reformat his pc, but I want to play supcom without severe lag on his pc :P.

It's already showing 2 cores in the Device Manager,

to make it show both cores in the Taskbar try this:-

Start > Run > then type msconfig

goto Boot.ini and then advanced

and then on Numproc select 2.

Apply and then restart.

Can't select 2, as its greyed out.

On my own pc I get this choice:

Can I somehow copy over the HAL files (hal.dll) from my own pc to my dads in dos, I mean would that work?

Didn't help, excact same list. :(
Anybody has any idea how to easely add knowlege to windows that there are more ACPI drivers?

Or, does anyone know where the ACPI driver is located in windows? I might try to force it to install the drivers from the files I'm using myself on my own pc?
