Dual Core installed - random sped up crackly sound and video?

hi all

since installing my Dual Core 3800+ i have noticed that any sound coming from video or wav files seesm to be sped up and crackled like its in bad fast forward, does the dual core setup in windows cause this or is there any fix?

you installed the dual core optimizer or driver?

turn coolnquiet off if its on, i had a problem in a game which caused it to mess up when coolnquiet was on.

cool n quiet is off to best of my knowledge
