Dual core newby here? need some Q's answered

if i run a program that uses 100% cpu (single core) does that automatically run on just 1 of my 2 cores? or do i need to change settings?

is there any decent dual core dvd encoding software similar to winAVI??

erm.. thats about it lol. loving the fact i can now multitask

ahh rite... my memory timing have gone back to the old settings of 2.5 3 3 7. when they should be 3.4.4.8 why does it do that? the settings are on auto

yea got both cores and my pwmic temp is 58 lol but its been sunny all day and my windows were closed

also... how long should i prime? im doing small fft's and both cores have passed all size's and it been going for about 7 hours

well the guy i bought it off said it was prime stable but didnt have a screenie. it seems fine tbh went straight in at 2.6

did it for 23 hours or something with no errors. squiffy said that a program will use 50% on each core. mine isnt doing that. if i run a (single core) 100% program it used about 80-95% on the 2nd core and the rest on the first.

well i put my dual core in. started up and the little poup thing in the right hand corner came up and said new device installed " multiprocessor pc" then restarted and its fine.
