Dual Core OR 2Gb Memory??

Hey,

At the mo, im running a opty 144 at 2.8ghz with 1gb of gskill ram.

Now i cant decide whether to upgrade my cpu to a dual core (will be a 3800x2, then i'd clock it) or to upgrade to 2gb and keep my cpu. Now I want the one that will offer me the best performance increase, ovbiously i cannot do the both - otherwise i wouldnt have asked

I go on the occasional photoshop, but it is mainly games.

Looks like ram will be the best upgrade for me then

Can anyone tell me how much of a performance boost an additonal gb of ram actually is?? My bf2 loading times are fairly quick, what other areas will it improve - start up etc??
