Dual core Overclocker..n00b

Basically,im wanting to overclock my dual core a bit to try and improve gameplay for Orange box,without shelling out for new bits(yet...)

Any tips/FAQ'S/Guides for a noob on how to do such chaps?

2 gigs o ram
Intel Dual core 1.8 GHZ 2mb cache( i think)
Nvidia 7300GS G/card
150 gig H/drive,and thats the basics done

Your GPU isn't exactly stellar so that might be the problem not the CPU.

yeah been told that a few times..sadly. But i dont see the point in xhelling out for a new GPU just to play 1 game...only reason i'm playing it on the PC is due to my XBOX beeing sent away to be fixxed.

your GPU should be fine for orange box provided you dont go any higher than 1028x1024. My 6800 runs TF2 perfectly at that resolution.
