Dual core to Quad core Upgrade?

Hi guys, sorry for being noob here but here goes with my question. I have a dell dimension 9200 with a 6600 2.4 dualcore conroe running on stock mobo with P965/G965 mem controller. Intel AGTL+ bus. it states that fsb offers 4x266mhz but supports 4x400mhz. Can i swap out the 6600 dualcore for a higher option quad core up to 1600mhz fsb as is listed. Board offers faster cpu upgrade in sisoft but can i fit the quad on lga775 or am i stuck with dualcore upto 3.3ghz as listed in mobo/cpu stats. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You may use a signature (commonly used in email messages) in your posts. You can specify in your profile a signature to use at the bottom of your posts. Hope sigs ok now. Its a standard btxDell Inc.OWG855. It lists fsb as capable of 4x400Mhx (1.60Ghz). Would this support quad or am i dc upto that fsb. Mobo gives support to 3.3Ghz. Psu is 375w and current CPU is oc'd at 2.8 clockgen OC. LGA775 socket so I'm guessing it would take dualcore upto 1600mhz fsb like Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 2.40GHz Guaranteed to run at 3.30GHZ (1466FSB) - Retail. Any thoughts?
