Hi, I have a E4300 but literally just purchased a Q6600 from OCUK (hopefully delivered soon!).

I am running Vista 64 and XP 32 (dual boot). Anything I need to do in either for the CPU to be detected / windows to be optimized? I think it should just auto detect everything right?

It will work without having to do anything (well apart from plugging it into the mb :p)

Excellent. Kind of figured that but best to check I thought.

:( I have to plug it in though. DAMN CPU makers. They should invent a CPU where it does it all itself :(

Seriously though, looking forward to it. Not looking forward to finding the overclocking sweet spot though lol.

first thing to do, is set fsb to 333, and the mem divider to 2.4 (if you have 6400 ram)

that's a 3ghz clock then, most do it totally stable with no voltage changes :)

you can change the dividers a lot, mine works out as 3.6 at 400, yet had the time to fiddle though,

enjoy the chip
