Dual Core & Vista beta2

Hello all,

Was wondering if anyone can advise me, i have a AM2 4600+ x2 chip and also have a disc of vista beta 2. Now before i install either O/S will windows xp run better and potentially use my x2 chip to it's full potential, or will vista beta 2 do just as good a job in it's present capacity?

Beta 2 isn't the best release, there have been a few since which are better. Plus RC1 will be out shortly. So you'd be better off with XP for now.

There's another thread with that info in. Latest is on or around 7th September.

Stick with XP until Vista is released.

But download the beta's and dual boot.

Vista is still slower than XP, although this is slowly improving.
