Dual Dell 2311H's

I've just bought myself a second U2311H since I was quite happy with the first one I bought. The older one is Rev A01 and the new one A03. After having them both on side by side, I noticed the colours on the newer one are noticeably more vibrant making the colours on the A01 look a little washed out.

I bought the first one back in November. Can this be fixed by calibration? Or is it just a case of the newer revision being better than the older. I'd prefer if the colours on both were identical.

I am desperate to order the dell u2311h today or asap as my samsung died on me this weekend.
Is there any chance you could tell me where you ordered your REV. A03 from as i will be wanting the newest release.
And could anyone who works for overclockers tell what Revisions are for sale from your website.

You can find it on the back of the monitor... A00, A01, A02, A03 etc

As for getting the latest version, i recently bought one of the latest A03 from the auction for a very respectable £189 including next day delivery.

I'm so happy i'm ordering another now!

Ordered one on the 16th of June from here and had an A01 delivered.

Happy with it overall, but missing the opticlear coating my old NEC 20wgx2 had that made the screen so vibrant.

Hearing that A03's are more vibrant makes me a little sad :/

Got me thinking now. If anyone read my thread, it's below this one. I was planning on ordering three of them and now I'm aprehensive whether or not the revision will be the latest. Wasn't from OcUK btw.

So the new U2311H I bought had a dead pixel, so Dell have sent me a new one. The colours are still as vibrant as the first one. So I'm guessing the A03 just has improved colours.

Also, has anyone ever had Dell send them a replacement? Any ideas when they might pick up the old one?

I thought they did a straight swap? i.e. pick up the old one at the time of delivering the new

That's what I would have thought. Apparently they will contact me sometime later to collect the old one. Not a bad way of doing things, means the customer is always holding all the cards.
