Dual display from onboard video?

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at getting a Z68 based motherboard and wondered if I could hook up 2 monitors to the onboard display ports e.g. the board I am looking at has 1x VGA, 1x DVI, 1x HDMI.

Could I hook a monitor up to the VGA and DVI ports have an extended desktop?

You should be able to use up to 2 displays from any of the 3 onboard ports on a z68 based board for dual monitor support.

Would this work nicely with Virtu? I came here to ask the same question; I've got dual monitors and was looking to use the onboard graphics when browsing / watching media but then want the dedicated GPU to do the legwork for gaming.

...Should I just get any z68 motherboard which has HDMI & DVI out? Or is my strategy flawed?
