Dual Display help. For 6800

Hi guys

Have got a new 32" Lcd for my room and Am looking help on what I need to set it up so i can play movies on it from the pc.

I have a 6800 and it is linked up to the 32"lcd by the vga lead at the moment. But this will change soon when I order a Dvi to HDMI lead.

So what programs do I need to set this up. Any guides about?

Does your TV have a HDMI connector? If not then you will still be using your VGA, unless your TV has DVI then you could use a DVI cable.

You dont need any programs to set it up, simple drag the movie window across to the TV and maximise, job done. If you want a "fake" taskbar you can look in to using ultramon (also allows keyboard hotkeys to do stuff, like switching windows {as in the movie, no the OS} to the other screen).

<edit> You will need to enabled "extend my windows desktop to this monitor" on the TV in display properties and then enable dual view in the nvidia options so you can select different resolutions from your PC monitor and telly.

Yeah my Tv has two HDMI's. Can you progressive scan Dvd's over VGA? If so how do you do that?
