Dual Display Problems

Hi all,

I have an ATI X1900Xt Graphics card (With the latest Cats) and a Panasonic LCD TV.

I have my CRT monitor connected to the DVI port on the card (Via a dongle) and I also have my TV connected to the card via the Component Dongle. (Looks a bit like Svideo on the card but with more Pins)

Now I want to be able to view the computer screen on both at the same time. At the moment its either one or the other I have to set the TV to main to get it to display the screen which then switches the monitor off.

In the advanced CCC panel under Displays Manager when i click on the big 2 to enable the secondary the screen just flickers and nothing happens it des not enable. Anyone know why or what I can try next??

Why are you using componant? Why not the other DVI cable to the TV?

I may be wrong but I hadnt realised a componant cable was supplied, but I suspect its this thats causing the problem.

I would try using "force tv detection " in CCC Display Options

Hi, at the moment I do not have a DVI to HDMI cable and since the Component cable came with the card I thought I would try it.

As mentioned above if I drive them one at a time its fine I just cannot seem to get them working together. (I cannot see my LCD from where my comp is so its a pain, otherwise i would have no problem, Setting a hotkey to switch displays does not seem to be working either)

I have heard that my Panasonic LXD60 has compatibility issues when using DVI to HDMI (Something to do with the HDMI ports) Do you think a DVi to Component cable would work??
