just wondering what is the best purpose of dual display monitors just been blessed with another monitor due to my bros upgrade for his birthday just dont no what to do with it any suggestions would be great help regards rob.

Ah right, Well it's kind of limited for gaming, but for general use dual displays are awesome. Get a program called ultramon to make things a little nicer. I use mine for everything from browsing and msn at the same time to programming to watching a film and doing something else at the same time. The possibilities are endless :p

i found it great for uni work, when having to read off a website and type on a document, saves all the alt+tab pressing. I personally couldn't manage without 2 now, i usually have my itunes and things like temps and stuff on my second monitor when im not doing work.

Instead of making a topic myself, im wondering how i would be able to set this up..

I havent actually got this pc yet but, best to be prepared :).

With their being 2 DVI outputs on my future 4870 X2... Do i just link one to my monitor and one to the other?. And then im guessing you just change the Display settings to expand my desktop to this monitor?

i want two again, but i am finding it difficult to find the space when ive already got a 30" lol. I thought 2560 would give me enough space but i have found the more space i have, the more i want

Two screens are far better. I generally have films/tv on the 14" one, and firefox + writer on the other. Half a 20" is enough for internet or office.

As soon as I can find space I'll be moving to three screens, would kind of like four

I recommend the software DisplayFusion tbh, can set it to change wallpaper automatically too, feature which Ultramon doesnt have

yea a 19" does fit on its side, but i want to get a 28 (cant really afford another 30). I think i could probably do it if i put my pc on the floor, but then what was the point in making it look pretty lol. Getting a nice big black glass desk soon though so they'll fit on that

Ive got a 32" HD LG TV along with my old 19" Samsung Tv... Won't it be rather stupid having those along side each other, or will i still get a worthy benefit?

HD is the same resolution as 24/22" monitors, it being 32" doesn't really mean more screen space. Two screens is always better than one

TH2GO are cool, use one at work and between that and my laptop i have 6 17" screens, and my laptop screen, and while its ok, id prefer to just have 2 22-24" ones
