Ive got a new gfx card, an ATI 4870. Ive rigged up my PC TFT and using the secondary DVI port on the gfx card, linked it to my LCD TV which is bigger. For when Im playing 'console' like games I can sit on the sofa instead of at the desk with the PC.
The LCD TV's max resolution is 1368 x 768 and my PC TFT's max is 1680 x 1050. When I connect the TV to the DVI port it trys to sync with the gfx card and goes into 1080i mode, it does display a picture but its not quite accurate. Its not very sharp and the picture dosent quite fit in the screen properly. Its an older type LCD so it cant do proper HD at 1080p. There is no way of selecting different resolutions through the TV, is there any way of 'forcing' a resolution to the TV from the gfx card?
One other thing also, when two screens are connected to the gfx card, does this lower its performance in running games smoothly?
Cheers, M.
