Dual DVI Monitor issue in Vista Ultimate

I recently switched over from XP to Vista Ultimate and i'm having issues to get my second screen, actually it's a TV but with a DVI connector to my 8800 GTS 512, working. If i go to the Nvidia panel(latest driver version from their website) and i go to the multiple screen tab, then if i click on dualview my screen goes black(the main one) then it flashes a few time, trying to setup my TV i guess but nothing ever appears on my Tv and then Vista crashes and i must reboot with the reset button. It sometimes even break my nvidia driver i must then go to safe mode uninstall the thing and go back to normal

It worked really well on XP, i guess i'm going to have a try on ubuntu

Have you tried just ticking the box "extend the desktop onto this monitor" in the display settings?

What drivers are you using? I had no problems setting up 3 screens over 2 graphics cards with vista

i think with the tv you have to reduce the resolution of it, as i think when i tried with mine the screen flickered a few times then nothing, then i put the resolution on the lowest for it and then it worked if i remember correctly
