Dual GPU GTS-250

If these are single slot, I'd be interested at the right price. I could get 4 in my i7 rig and run 8 GPU2 clients.

I'm sure I saw a thread saying, 4 or 6 gpu threads was the max (well stable max)
was a while ago.

Nice cards for the single slot budget gamer - or pro gamer but with a 19/20inch screen

I saw a how-to on the CPC (now Bit-Tech) website on building the ultimate ppd rig. They managed to get 4 GTX295s running with 8 GPU2 clients. They had to manually assign some of the clients to specific cores as it was trying to Fold all eight on one core. It apparently worked fine once they did that.

maybe stable for a for a few days and with a tech guy infront of it in an air con room.
But I think it would give you major grief stan - for what ever reason when your away the pc cats like to play.

You know me. If it's possible, I'll have a go :D

If it doesn't work, I can always spread them around the other rigs :)

your saving for a flat remember?
and trust me the more deposit you have the better deal you will get.
Co-op have a good tracker and HSBC have a good fix rate - but the load to values are massively conservative (20-40% deposits for the best deals  )
if you only have 5-10% you'll get massively riped off.

Are you paided monthly stan? (but can't spend it at sea) - might me worth looking at a offset morgage - so all the cash in your current account after payday is used to reduce the morgage (but it's still available to spend) with saving rates so low and new morgages rate high it's well worth a look.

Due to your non-standard earing I'd encourge you to see a morgage broker - it might not be a 'fun' hour or three but could save you 50-70k over the next 20 years.

Nah. I'm not buying, I'm renting. The money is in case I have to take an unfurnished place. I'm in a furnished place at the moment and am hoping to get another furnished place (I move every 2-3 years and furniture is such a pain to move). Just in case I can't find a suitable furnished place, I'll need a few grand in the bank to buy myself a few bits and bobs.

Might be worth thinking about a morgage if it's cheaper than rent.

I rarely stay in one place longer than 2-3 years. I prefer the freedom renting gives me. The thought of tying myself down to one place for the rest of my life doesn't appeal to me at all :)

Morgages don't need to be like that - you can move house every 2-3 years, trading up or down - it's quite normal.
Most morgages don't last more that 2-3 years on there initail terms anyway. No penaties for moving other than finding a buyer of the old place (which can be a hassle I accept).

But renting is freedom - and much of europe rent properties for there entire lives.
Horse for course - but always worth looking at options if only to know your doing what's best for you anyway.

No more I promise :D

Probably best, we do appear to have strayed off topic ever so slightly :D

In a vain attempt to get back to the subject matter :p It'll be interesting to see if/when these will actually be made and if so, what sort of price they'll be.
