Dual GPU support in Empire: Total War?

I'm using a X2 myself and don' thave the problems your describing with my card in both those games.
Are you overclocking the card, if so have you tried puttig it back to stock speeds?
With the X2 is should use both cores by default.

It's stock speeds. Resolved it in Crysis by getting rid of the demo and installing the full (patched) game.
Vsync seems to have fixed it mostly in ETW but still get the odd flicker. Tried whacking up the settings and the entire screen was flickering then, heh. Because it now looked like severe tearing I turned on vsync and it was fine (albeit 15fps (all ultra including shadows)).
