I'm upgrading my 3 year old baby to make full use of what I have available. So far, I have decided on upgrading my 2x2GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM to 4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-112-KS), taking advantage of the two unused slots, and the maximum capability of Windows 7 64bit Home and the motherboard.
I have a second PCI-E slot (the orange one on my Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3154#ov).
My main PCI-E slot has a Palit GeForce GTX 460 768MB (http://www.palit.biz/palit/vgapro.php?id=1339).
Overclockers is ofc not stocking them anymore, but if I could find a place to get another, would it have to be EXACTLY the same card? What specifications need to be the same for me to be able to put them in SLI?
(Am I allowed to link the place I've found to buy this card?)
I read that two cards can yield 70-80% performance increase. I intend to use this computer for another 2-3 years, since I have a Phenom II 955 3.20GHz, and hopefully the 16GB RAM and two gfx card will make the PC last that length.
Will my 600W PSU be able to handle this setup too?
