Dual HDD laptops?

What current laptops out there can carry two HDDs?
A mate of mine is after a new i5 lappy, but wants to find one with 2 HDD bays so he can stick an SSD in for Windows and a standard HDD for files/media.
I’ve tried searching in google, but it’s not coming back with much, can the ever-spewing fountain of knowledge that is the OcUK forums give me some pointers?

A lot of 17'' have dual bays. Some 15'', or 14'' without optical drives. It's on a per-model basis.

It mostly depends on what laptops he has in mind. Sony makes it awkward to change hard drives.

Theres a couple lieing around. Sadly they arwe normally huge and bulky.

Clevo who sell there chassis to OEM so heres a chassis they make which takes 3 drives

Thanks guys, he’s been looking at 15” lappys, so that’s probably why he’s not really found what he’s after.

My Dell E series latitude has a removable optical drive, which I have swapped for a second HDD.

GX660R if its within his budget. I've taken the DVD drive out of mine so I now have 3 hard drives

I should think you can do this with most laptops if you don't require a DVD drive.

I just recently found out my acer 8371 which is 13.3" and very slim, has space inside it for 2 hdds!

I was looking at this too and one possibility is to just get a laptop with a single SSD for portability with the OS/essential apps and also USB 3.0 ports. Then get a decent capacity portable usb 3.0 HDD and it should be quick enough to use for running any other apps/data storage.
