Hi buying a new system soon and as most Graphics cards can support twin screens “Dual dual-link DVI” I was thinking!

Just now I have one single 19” Viewsonic screen and I was going to pair it up with another 19” Viewsonic screen. Now the reason for doing this is that sometimes I could do with that second display and the fact then when I’m in the pc room I have a 14” Sony TV connected to a Sony Video/DVD combo which in turn connected to the Sky box.

Scart for Vid/DVD to TV….

How could I remove the TV and Watch TV with the Vid/DVD and Sky through a second monitor?

I understand I could use the PC dvd player but would rather use the Combo DVD&Video player which is set up to record Sky etc…..

To be fair I’ve not looked behind my monitor to see if it take Scart? If it does sorted! But what do they mean by TV out on cards?

There are several options.

1) Your monitor may have composite/s-video input which you can connect from DVD player. Wouldn't guarantee it is available, and it wouldn't provide sound.

2) Get a TV card for the PC, which you can connect to whatever you have. his would give you sound as well, but would require the PC to be on to be able to watch anything.

3) You can get video to VGA boxes which were designed for old games consoles, but could be used to connect DVD player directly.

What I aim to have is Two Viewsonic screens side by side and get rid of the rather heavy and on its last legs Sony 14”

I would like to watch Tv on one side and PC on the other. Its getting it all connected to the sky-which connects to my DVD/Vid combo. Then Also have Pc on dual screen when I’m not got the TV on.

Thanks for your info.

So the Scart from the DVd unit to the TV is usless?
