Dual Memory?

I'm using a Gigabyte g33- and I bought a http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_ddr2_pc2_6400_platinum_revision_2
It doesnt seem to detect that the memory is dual channel, I noticed this exact model isnt on the support list but that list doesnt seem to be that big, Is it any of my settings or just the motherboard doesnt support the ram?

What slots are you running the memory in.

Well ive now noticed i had them in the 2 differnt colours so i put them in same coloured slot and it wont even boot with 2 ram in, only works with 1 stick in. Why???

Try the memory in the other coloured slots and see what happens.
Have you tried each stick individualy to check you don't a have a faulty stick.

Well I tried it again, was blank screen for few more seconds but then bios came up and yeh dual channel now! hurray!

Small question, if i wanted to get more ram, would i need to get same size and type or could i put some 2gb sticks in but still DDR2 PC2-6400? i have some Pny 1GB PC4300 533MHz Dimm but they dont work with the ocz's. Sorry for the stupid questions not really done much with ram before

Best if you use matching ram to avoid any problems.

You might get lucky and it would work fine and in dual channel but then again you might not
