dual moniter help

hi all im trying to use two moniters with one pc so far its working ok i have two displays i can drag a window into my other screen etc no probs.

what im trying to actualy do is i have a game rfactor 1.255f its a racing game and u can use an external program called motec its a telematry program so heres what u do on a single screen setup

start game
do a lap or two
alt/tab or exit game
load up last lap look at results
restart game and make changes as req

what i want to do is

start motec
drag main motec window into the second moniter
start game
do a lap or two
move mouse over to other moniter again and load file
this is when my problem starts i click the open file button but then it still exits the game and loads the choose file window on my main moniter doh.

is there a way to choose what app uses what moniter? or any other way around this?.

From what I've been reading I don't think you can, it's an extended desktop not two separate versions of the desktop.

If you could get rFactor to run in a windowed mode that should work but it would be quite slow.

thanks for the reply after looking into it yes u are correct window mode is only way and i have tryed that and it does work ok so better than nothing tbh.
