Hi all,

I recently bought an additional Dell 23" monitor to go with my existing one to dual screen. (link below)

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-055-DE

I've set them both up, one through DVI and the other through Mini Display Port adapter to DVI.

However one screen shows quite dull colours and the other is very milky and vibrant. Putting a picture inbetween the two monitors really shows this.

I wondered if you knew how I could make them both the same as I've played around with the colour/brightness/contrast settings but just can't get them to be the same.

Thank you

Not such a great shout then :(

If both monitors using the same connection produce very different images, and can't be adjusted to being pretty close, then it might suggest something is wrong with one of them.

It may be difficult to get the images exactly alike but you should be able to get pretty close with two of the same monitor.

You need a colour calibrator.

What would you recommend and at what cost?

I just had a thought, one of the monitors is a year or two old and the other is fresh out of the box. The new one is vibrant and colourful and the older one is more dull, could this just be age?
