Hi,

Ok I have 2 x 24" monitors and was wondering if there is a program which will enable me to have say a game (crysis in this case) on one of the monitors and on the other have firfox open so I can browse the internet while i am in the game? At the moment it won't let me go to the screen with the internet on it will only stay on the game screen.

Go in to the game options and tick the "Windowed mode" is the best option :) I dont think there is a program that allows you to do it.

Thats they way i have been playing for long enough now. But really the game thinks it is full screen over the 2 even if its showing as one.

I wouldn't mind sorting this prob as when i close css down too much it goes off and mucks up the sound.

I'v never tryed the window'd mode, might have to give it a go sometime. :)

I have been gaming with dual monitors for ages now. In my experience whether or not the second monitor is useable depends on the game. Sometimes if you hit esc or whatever in the game to bring up the save/load/options stuff you can get into the second screen whereas in the game proper you can't. I never use windowed mode - too much performance hit for me. I have moved all my icons and the start bar to my secondary leaving the primary completely empty for playing the games.

I think this is down to have the game is coded and how it uses the inputs from the mouse. So i dont think there is a solution, i may be wrong. What annoyes me is when i click on my second screen and the game minimises and i have to wait 20~30 secs to get it back up again

It does depend on the game unfortunately.

Probably all first person games won't let you move across to the second monitor without pausing and minimising the game on the primary.

I would think some RTS would let you do it, and I know for a fact FS9/X does too.
