Hi all,

I have been given a second monitor to put alongside my current one (same model as current), I am running one monitor off my 1660 Super via HDMI but have been told to not run 2 HDMI's as i will get issues possibly??

I will only be using the second montior for Discord and steam mainly, i wont be stretching games across the two, Do i just need an adaptor or maybe run the second off something else?

Thanks in advance

Just use Display Port or HDMI, they are your only options with a 1660 Super I think.
Just use cables, no need for adapters unless you want to adapt a DP to HDMI.
Not sure why you think you will get issues using multiple HDMI outputs, never hade any issues myself.

Just plug it in.

Cheers both, only reason I asked is because I saw a YouTube video and the guy said you could run into issues having two HDMI's running off one GPU and the bloke I got it off said to run off an adapter to avoid any issues

I run 4 populating all the outputs on my gpu, the only thing to look out for is the idle power usage if its an nvidia card. For some reason on high refresh rate using multiple monitors can cause a 100w idle power draw. You can check this using something like hwinfo. Doesn't always happen but worth checking anyway, can't say if it happens for AMD cards as i don't own any currently. Depending on the gpu, idle draw should be around 20-30w max.
