Dual monitor performance hit

I have been running dual 19"'s for many years and never had any performance issues.
Obviously not all games like dual screen, so you just set it to appear on the one.
Dont want to hijack the thread, but I am thinking of going from the 2 x 19", to a single 24" widescreen, not sure if anyone has any thoughts on that.

might be better going 26" then you have plenty of room to play around with, id think going from two 19" to a 24" would leave you feeling a bit restricted
to the OP: with your gpu you shouldnt experience any problems as long as you play a game on one sreen and have desktop oin the other etc
You could always use all three 19"-24"-19" by getting a cheap passive GPU,
tbh thats probably what I'd do, Love multiple monitors, I've got 2 22", and if I were to upgrade, I'd probably get a 24" for between them.

I've got two 19" monitors and a 22", at the moment I am using the 22" and one 19", I definitely couldn't only use the 22", there wouldn't be enough room. I think that when I have finished uni I might get a cheap passive card and go 19"-22"-19" just to see what its like 
I tried that, got rid of a 17" and a 19" in place for a 22". needless to say after about 3 months I bought another 22" as I missed the second space.
