Dual monitor question

I am just on the verge of ordering a Samsung SM204BW 20" Widescreen monitor which is dvi and i currently have a 17" vga monitor which is running on a 6800gt.As the 6800gt has two monitor ports would i be correct in thinking i can run these monitors together? o also plan to use the new samsung o the xbox 360, anything i should know?

Yes, your video card should be able to run both simultaneously. For excelletn control over dual monitor setups in Windows, download and use UltraMon. It provides loads more features than the standard Windows monitor properties setup.

Is there anyway to stop games going to the task bar while u say use MSN on the other monitor? ie I want to be in game but still be able to use MSN on the other screen, is this possible?

me either.. because the game is a full screen application when you click the other screen it drops down to the desktop. ive heard if you try and run it in window mode this will act like a normal application.. and stay open while using other apps..

but as said above i never got this to work.
