hi there i got a new LG monitor for my birthday, and currently have it set up as a dual monitor with my laptop. Usually with itunes, games or movies on the right and work, internet and email on the left.

i have set it up with the start bar on the left monitor, is there any way of duplicating the startbar to be on both screens at once whilst keeping the extended display

thanks in advance

rob

I'm not sure if this can be done without a third party program. I know it was annoying me that when I opened a program it would always use the primary taskbar when minimising and maximising.

I, personally, use Ultramon but there are others about.

as mentioned you need ultramon

I use ultramon, you can't duplicate the taskbar with it though, it give you the normal one then just a blank bar on the other screen. :(

If you use the same res on both monitors, I believe you can use eyefinity to set it so the taskbar splits across the displays.

Pity you can't yet use eyefinity with different resolutions....

It'd be ideal for the average user! (Me). Nice big 28" in the middle running 1920x1200, with two cheapo 22"s at 1680x1050.

Although if it was that simple to make a system where you could game on a resolution that isn't a rectangle, they would have done it already....

look up softth ;) software that allows triple screen gaming at different resolutions. Has a performance hit and requires some tweaking of game files but a lot of people use it instead of TH2G and Eyefinity.
