Hi
Id be grateful for some help on what i need to set up dual monitors. Mostly for work with some gaming.
Laptop 1 is a work laptop which has been locked down so no additional software allowed. Has HDMI and type C out.
Laptop 2 is a Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 which has HDMI 2.0 and type c
Desktop will replace Laptop 2 but not purchased yet. Probably RTX 3080 or anything else with HDMI 2.1
Monitors 1 and 2 are LG GP950 which has 4k and 144hz.
Mouse is Logitech MX master 3
Plan is to have monitor 2 connected to laptop 2/desktop
I want monitor 1 to be in portrait mode and be an extension to either laptop 1 or laptop 2/desktop when i need it to give each an additional screen
I then need the mouse and keyboard to switch with monitor 1 depending on whether im using laptop 1 or 2.
Ive read about KVMs. But i was also looking at using the bluetooth switch on the MX master 3 and getting a corresponding keyboard to just switch between laptop 1 and 2.
Whatever i get i want to get the best resolution to maximise the capability of monitors
What would be the best way?
Sorry if ive not explained it well enough.
