im setting up my 2 X 24inch, and only 1 is detected on the control panel (both windows display properties and nvidia control panel)..

i want an extended desktop, (not span) and thats the only thing it lets me do.

i downloaded ultramon, and it says only 1 monitor detected.

any help! :(

to be clear they both work, just it acts like 1 huge monitor which i dont want..

thanks in advance

Have you been into the nVidia control panel and set it to display two diffrent screens?

Under Set up multiple displays as im sure when you first put them in it sets it up as 1screen and you must change it to two seprate screens. Can't remember what it says as I don't have dual screen anymore, but yea look under Set up multiple displays(nvidia control panel) there should be an option there.

i solved the prob after 2nd restart..

in nvidia there was no option for dualview, but now there is, and also shows up on windows display, and ultra mon works :D..

.avi and .mkv files ive tried all play in black and white!!!!. i tried with windows media player and VLC, :( also installed all codecs again :( wtf? (ps tried with only one monitor doesnt make any diff)

Heard of that a couple of times, seem to recall that reinstalling the graphics card drivers solved this for some people, worth a shot I reckon :)

so what i did, is set a aspect ratio of 32:10 in VLC, and used nview's span FYI. shooter is the only film which has really wide resolution, i think mabye 2:1 so its pretty stretched but i think its watchable

how do u set different pictures for each monitor? used to be able to do it in the classic nvidia control panel, cant find it in the new one :(

I use ultramon for that. Just a simple matter of going into the wallpaper settings and clicking a box that lets you choose a different image for each monitor. Something like that anyway, haven't touched my wallpapers for a long time hehe, but it's very easy, put it that way :D
