Dual Monitor Setup

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering whether it's possible to somehow connect 2x dvi monitors to a gpu that only has 1 dvi output? (It also has a hdmi, however, 1 monitor seems to lose it's 144hz refresh rate when connected using hdmi cable and the other monitor doesn't have a hdmi option)

I had a look through the products and found this:

Will this do the job? I read somewhere that it'll only duplicate desktops and not extend them, which is not what I'm after. I have a 290x 4gb gpu.

That will only duplicate the desktops.

Yeah, AFAIK HDMI (below version 2.0) only supports 60hz so unless your video card has 2 DVI outputs there's no way to run both monitors at 144hz.

Unless your mnitors also have displayport inputs along with your video card the only way to resolve it is to buy a new video card.
