Dual monitor trouble with 8800GT

Since I've installed my EVGA 8800GT I haven't been able to set my TV (Panasonic TX-32LMD70) as a second monitor. The problem is, in the monitor options in the control panel, I can't choose my TVs resolution. The closest I can do is 1280x768, which doesn't look right on my TV (1366x768 native resolution). With all the other video cards I've had, 1360x768 was always available and that looked fine, however that option isn't there with the 8800GT.

I'm using a DVI-VGA adapter to connect the TV (PC Out port) to the video card. I have the latest drivers from nvidia.com also. My OS is Vista Ultimate x64.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Edit: also, another strange thing I noticed is that my monitor doesn't display the POST or Vista startup at all, it just stays blank until the desktop is loaded, then it comes on. However everything (POST etc) is shown on my TV.

Hmm, I can't find any options like that in the display settings. I've looked at the "List all modes" thing under the Adapter tab in the advanced settings, but there isn't any 1360 resolutions there either.

Maybe the 8800GT doesn't support 1360 resolutions?

You need to be using the 174.74 beta's to use the new custom rez option, link below.

No you don't.

Have you tried bypassing Nvidia's control panel and changing the res via windows display properties ?

That's normal if the TV is set to be windows primary display.

I don't have that.

I must be missing something.

The monitor is set to the primary display, I believe. And yes I've been using Windows display properties all along. I only realised Tombo was talking about the Nvidia control panel when he posted that screenshot.

Go to View > Advanced and it'll be there, if not then define a custom one.

What driver version do you have? that doesn't look at all like mine using the 137.17's.

Also swap around the way the two are connected, the TV is in the primary port.

edit: installed the drivers RavenXXX2 posted and now everything is fine. 1360x768 is available now.

Thanks guys

Ugh. Now to just get rid of these two options...

Any ideas? haha
