I know this isn't really a functional thing and from most posts i've read elsewhere it just gets flamed as being 'pointless', but i feel it would improve the feel (cursor jump) and look (wallpaper, spanning windows, etc) of my dual monitor setup immensely.

I want to add about an inch of space between my two 1920x1080 desktops to account for the plastic edge of the monitoris there anyway to do this? a third virtual monitor perhaps?

setup...

vista x64 ultimate -> ati hd3870 -> 2x dvi -> 2x dell g2410

any ideas?

If you add a virtual monitor between the two real ones, anything displayed on it will be invisible to you - I can't imagine why you'd want to do that, unless your goal is to add a degree of frustration to your computing experience?
