My first trip into OcUK forums for a while.. hopefully you can assist me.
I have just got a 2nd monitor that will be used exclusively for my racing rig that i use for iRacing.
I have one base unit that has my original monitor, a 1680*1050. I use this monitor as my FPS and general browsing monitor.
Also attached to my base unit is the new monitor with a 1920*1080 resolution. This monitor is not on my desk but is set aside on my race rig and consequently will not be used at the same time as my desk bound monitor.
How would i set it up so i can utilise both monitors to their full resolution however make it quick and easy to switch between them without having to unplug cables?
I run an ati HD4890 and i am using Catalyst 10.8.
Ideally whichever monitor is not in use would remain off or at least black screen until needed.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
